And so it begins! The first official installment of Jack’s Mannequin tour diary is here, and it opens with a slightly disheveled Andrew McMahon coming at us from a random truck stop somewhere “on the way to Montreal,” after a night of partying with some hardcore JM fans in Allentown. (Hence the uncharacteristic hoarseness, the bedhead and the appropriately dark hangover shades).




Part 2 - Surviving Minnesota

Apparently, nobody told Jack’s Mannequin frontman Andrew McMahon that you should never, ever ride the steel deathtraps at the Minnesota State Fair. Yep, instead of the raging kegger he promised us last week, McMahon’s second tour diary is all about mingling with carnies, triggering our ungodly fear of heights and putting his far-too-precious life in the hands of a rickety yellow crane-like contraption.




Part 3 - Dance, Dance Revolution?

After listening to Andrew McMahon regale us with tales of drinking in Allentown and watching him hop aboard the giant yellow crane-like contraption at the Minnesota State Fair, we weren’t quite sure what to expect from Jack’s Mannequin’s third tour diary. That said, we were completely unprepared for this 67-second video impression of Disco Stu-meets-Stripperella. So strap on your platforms, lower your expectations and check out this impromptu (booze-fueled) parking lot pole dance. Then thank your lucky stars these guys aren’t known for their choreography.




Part 4 - It's A Music Resolution!

After spending the past few weeks on the road — partying in Texas, riding high in Minnesota and dancing up a storm in Parking Lot, U.S.A — the guys from Jack’s Mannequin are back in the studio, laying down tracks and showing us they have the cutest doggy ever!!! Watch JM’s most recent tour diary for reassurance that they still have all their vital organs intact (it’s a pun, people, deal with it) and to hear the “tasty guitar riffs” that make up “The Resolution.”




Part 5 - Hit The Road, Jack's

Over the past month or so, we’ve seen the guys from Jack’s Mannequin hungover, airborne, doin’ a little dance and layin’ it down in the studio. And now, with a heavy heart, it’s time for us to bid the boys farewell as they get ready to head BACK out on the road for The Glass Passenger tour. And since we’ve never been very good at goodbyes, we’ll let Andrew McMahon do all the talking. Watch the JM frontman say TTYL in his fifth — and final — tour installment.
