To be honest I almost didn't send the piece. Like, gave it to the guy at the UPS store and then was like "Wait, hold on, I need to think about this..." and then I remember watching the making of video and was on pins and needles because if it wasn't in the video I was going to be so sad hahah. They didn't let anyone know I don't think if their piece would be in it, I think they tried to include as many as they could though. That piece is seriously my favorite thing I've ever done (& thank you for the kind words!) and thankfully I met him for the first (and only so far) time after the video was out! I'm actually in the process of making a replica to hang on my wall (and another for commission for someone I met on tumblr!)

Now I need to watch the video! I wouldn't be surprised if Andrew picked some of his favorites and had the people he was closest to hold them. That's so cool/sweet!

I know I freaked a little bit when I saw that haha! And he told me that was one of his favorites that was submitted, which was seriously the coolest thing ever to hear, coming from the man who inspired the piece in the first place.

WeSeeNoShadows - When I met Andrew we talked about my Swim art/art in general and he told me he was super interested in seeing more of my art...so I'm going to take some of my rejected swim sketches and rework them into mini pieces and make a little book of my art as inspired by his music. If the way he freaked out when he found out that I made the piece his mom held in the video is any indication, I think he'll like it, lol.

I've definitely missed Jack's these last 4 months, so it's cool that they'll be back on track now, but I'm still super bummed now that the SoCo reunion is officially over. I feel like it's been building up for so many years, and now it's just...over. So depressing.

CrazyKels, if that's all you're worried about, then you should definitely be ok getting there at 2:30. Like I said, the line is typically pretty short until mid-afternoon, and I'm sure that part of the floor is big enough to hold quite a few people.

I'm just concerned about being in the 'Pit Area'. I dunno who here is going to the one at Club Nokia or if you have looked into the venue. But I guess there are two parts to the GA Floor level. The pit area is the closest and is blocked off by a barricade. You need a wristband to get into that area and they are given on a first come first serve basis. I'm more worried about just getting into the Pit Area than right at the barricade. Oh well, I hope it all works out.
