I really like bloodshot, its different, a lot of different sounds from andrew but very well done. The Resolution is really good too, i think it will grow on me even more!!

Bloodshot is by far one of the best Jack's songs ever. The 10% or so of you who aren't going to buy the Ghost Overground EP (according to the poll) are missing out.

The Resolution, while good - looks pathetic when compared to Bloodshot. Haven't gotten into it like I did with Bloodshot (at least thus far - I'm sure it'll grow on me).

I like both new songs for different reasons. I don't know why y'all are giving The Resolution such a hard time. I also enjoyed the live/acoustic songs very much.
All in all this just gets me EVEN MORE excited to The Glass Passenger's release, as I'm sure was the point of releasing this EP

I didn't know that KTM live was going to be that really old one that was online with the release of EiT...I was hoping it would a live version with the extended ending.

this EP does Not live up to the hype that TGP is generating at all..
Considering how this album has been delayed several times,
I was really looking forward to Andrew's latest album but now I'm just going to look at it as just another album just so I don't get disappointed..

Bloodshot is at best a mediocre song..
Just because it's overdriven guitar heavy and different from the past jack's songs doesn't make this song special..
In fact I know a million bands out there who have songs along the lines of bloodshot..

The Revolution is just depressing.
I didn't expect it to be that poor,
In poor I mean lacking in any hooks or anything to even make it memorable.

I've listened to the 2 new songs at least 30 times each.
Sorry but as a Jack's fan.. I'm wholly disappointed..

I've been loving Andrew's work since Something Corporate and I still do, but only in a long time lover sort of way.

By the way it's 2:50 a.m here

And I just paid for my digital version of Ghost Overground a moments ago..
In case anyone thinks I'm just some retard passerby who's posting a retarded comment.

Just to be clear I am just saying what I think.

And if any of you want to say things like "if you don't like the songs, don't listen" then I will say in my defense that I listen to the songs just to hear Andrew's voice.

The songs aren't great.
But I do like them to a certain extent.

So far Miss California, The Resolution, and Bloodshot have not disappointed me at all... its sorta what you need to expect from Andrew... Leaving Through to Window to North was a pretty big change as North was to Everything In Transit so the fact that The Glass Passenger has its own sound pretty much is what I would have expected.

Once The Glass Passenger drops the songs will probably work better in the context of the album.

I agree with your last statement. However, while I was expecting a change, this change lacks quality, in my opinion. That's why I'm dissatisfied.

I would say in terms of quality TGP may not be as instantly catchy as EiT but I think once we all have the whole album and spend some time with it it will not be as disappointing as some people are starting to feel it will be.

isnt this wht makes andrew such an amazing musician?

every song ive ever seen him compose he hasnt cared at all to hear the critics..hes not afraid to take huge risks and make giant leaps without trying to create a "radio Friendly" type of album..

i personally love that he doesnt try to go with whats gettin him on the radio it makes his work unique i love the resolution miss california and bloodshot =)

You don't listen to his interviews much do you?

He wants to be on the radio, he wants to write stuff like that. He just wants to do it his own way, he still makes sure that every song has it's own appeal, radio wise.

he dont make music cuz its what the other bands are doin to stay on top.. He writes his own stuff his own way and only his way

and yes i do listen to andrews interviews his top goal his to have a platinum record.. And all i was sayin is i admire he does it his way and if his way dont get that platinum record hes ok with that too..

ok lets not throw TGP down the drain just yet. Do you really think andrew put the number 1 and 2 best songs, on this EP??? No. this is just giving us a taste. there are some songs off of everything in transit i didnt care for but some that were GREAT. so even if these two songs are not the best lets not think this new album wont be.

I don't agree with people saying saying Bloodshot is bad, the song is really beautiful, different but still good. somehow reminds me of a song by the Killers. The Resolution is also good, not as good as bloodshot but still like it. at first i felt disappointed but the songs grew on me pretty fast.

i love all of the studio recordings that have been released.

i think it was impossible to be better than eit. seriously. it's my favorite album ever. but this is still good stuff.

p.s. it's the resolution, not the revolution. though i love songs by both titles

sophmore slumps are a killer guys! look @ jason mraz. i'd hate to say it bus this e.p. is too hyper and scattered. it sounds like he's been listening to the killers or something. i have to agree its let me down a tad but i hope the best is yet to come to....

and the lyrics to the resolution kind of piss me. sounds like he thinks he conquered his illness all on his own. not to get preachy here but the resolution rubs me wrong and bloodshot plain old sucks. this ep sucks ass.
